Being a proud member of RCC HKG, I have chosen to incorporate a wide variety of Hong Kong’s diverse characteristics into this design. The asymmetrical styling symbolises this bustling city’s instability both in terms of finance and politics, the pink and grey dots representing contrasting parts of Hong Kong (country parks and pencil towers) with the bicycle being the metaphorical pen that allows us to connect them together, and Hong Kong written in Traditional Chinese characters being one of the treasures of the world. On a more practical note, the dark colour palette of the jersey prevents splashes from visually detracting from its aesthetics.
