I was thinking of a cooler the would express HongKong the most, and red is one of Hong Kong’s most prevalent colours, red as of the red flag, Red-Sail Junk Boats, and especially the red taxis to name a few.
The Design should be bold and subtle at once. Hence the darker red color, big RCCHKG graphics and big RCC letters on the back.
Last, as the traffic runs on the left side in HongKong, the bright-grey band around the arm is placed on the right side, to have a unique usage for HongKong streets.
